THE ROLE:

Working closely with the BMD Director to set department strategy and to deliver a commercially balanced range that maximises sales and profit opportunities in order to improve market share.  Set and manage the department sourcing plan, assess the best route for product in line with the business strategy (in conjunction with Merchandiser and technology).  Negotiate with a varied supplier base in order to deliver better value, cost price and lead time.

THE PERSON

  • Strong man management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with commercial department such as Design, Merchandising and QA
  • Commercially astute
  • Analytically minded
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Risk Assessment and SWOT analysis
  • Self motivated, ambitious
